Full Description
Set on a 400-acre woodland estate just outside the choc-box prettiness of Broadway, the Fish offers 63 contemporary-country bedrooms spread across a village-style cluster of beautifully reinvented buildings.
Cosy, laid-back and a little bit luxurious, The Fish is the perfect base for adventures in the Cotswolds, whether you strike out and explore the countryside and idyllic villages or simply stick to the grounds, taking advantage of the host of activities on offer.
The heart of the Fish is The Lodge, where the bar, terrace and games room invite guests to while away lazy days and relaxing evenings, while next door, the restaurant promises diners the finest meats and freshest fish, an afternoon tea to remember and a Sunday roast worth shouting about.
With rooms starting at just £150 a night, The Fish delivers the warmth and personal attention of a luxury hotel stay at an enticingly accessible price tag.
Rooms
The Fish has a number of en suite bedrooms and suites, all decorated in a soothing Scandinavian-inspired style and include either a king size or super king bed, Samsung smart TV and free Wifi.
It also has three luxury, family-friendly Treehouses, one of which is dog-friendly, and a number of Hilly Huts and Hideaway Huts dotted across the hillside. Each bespoke hut is nestled in a private location and equipped with under-floor heating, en suite complete with walk-in shower and a private outdoor area with a hot tub suitable for two adults.
The Fish is dog-friendly and has accommodation in the following categories suitable for you and your pooch: Medium Rooms, Veranda Rooms, Small Suites, Big Suites and Treehouses (please note only one of their Treehouses are dog-friendly).
Activities
As well as the on-site games room, The Fish has a dedicated adventure team who can arrange a variety of country pursuits on the Estate including: archery, clay-pigeon shooting, falconry and axe throwing. The Fish is an ideal destination for ramblers and picnickers, and there are nature and walking trails running throughout the extensive grounds.
Restaurant
Down at the Bar you can tuck into mouth-watering sliders paired with sensational sides, from deliciously deep fried gherkins to classic dirty fries complete with smoky chipotle ketchup and lashing of cheese. The Fish’s main restaurant, Hook, is a laid back but luxurious celebration of seafood that combines the sophistication and refinement of their Culinary Director, Martin Burge’s head-turning gastronomy with the warm and welcoming rusticity that has made The Fish a firm favourite of Cotswolds visitors and residents.
Meetings and events
From intimate affairs to push-the-boat-out mega-parties, The Fish can host celebrations worth talking about for years to come. Private dining areas are available to book as required, but for the really big bashes, exclusive use of the whole hotel can be arranged.
Families
The Fish is well suited to family stays, with lots of attractions in the area and a number of bedrooms able to accommodate children, and others with space for cots and extra beds. Children aged 0–2 stay free; 3–12-year-olds are charged at £40 a night; 13-16 years are charged at £60 a night; children aged 17 and older will be charged adult rates. A kids’ menu is also available in the restaurant.
