The Churchill Arms

Dating from the 1700's, the Churchill Arms in Paxford is your quintessential English Cotswold Pub - the one you hope you will always find, but haven't until now.
The beautiful Cotswold ashlar stone has mellowed over 300 years, but the large ingle nook fireplace and original wooden beams only add to the "old world" charm. Overlooking picturesque walking countryside, the diamond way starts and finishes here, and located only a five minute drive from the historical arts and craft market town of Chipping Campden, this is a popular destination pub for weekenders, locals, foodies and walkers alike.
After 5 Years as Head Chef working with Eric Chevot and at establishments such as Soho House and Dean Street Town House Hotel, now at The Churchill Arms Nick Deverell-Smith creates thought about food with clever twists on British classics. Using three main local suppliers all within a 10 mile radius, the food is seasonally driven. As a Freehouse operating alongside Wells & Young as their principal supplier, there are also three independent local breweries on tap; Hook Norton, North Cotswold Brewery and Purity.
