Worcestershire Guild of Contemporary Crafts Exhibition‏

The Gordon Russell Design Museum is celebrating the rich craft heritage of the region with a selling exhibition of the Worcestershire Guild of Contemporary Crafts. The exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to see a wide range of skills including basketry, bookbinding, cabinet making, ceramics, glass, jewellery, lighting, leather work, silversmithing, textiles, wood carving and wood turning. The pieces are displayed alongside the museum’s collection of furniture by Sir Gordon Russell and his company, bringing together a rich period of 20th century furniture design, with the best of contemporary craftsmanship.

The exhibition is open until Sunday 17 September, and prices start from £20.

The museum will also be taking part in Heritage Open Days on Thursday 7 September, a nationwide scheme providing free access to heritage sites. There will be free tours throughout the day by former Gordon Russell employees and Master Craftsmen, taking place at 11.30am, 2pm and 3.30pm.

Opening Hours: Tuesday – Sunday 11am – 5pm (last entry 4.30pm).
